Main Point Karlin has been LEED Platinum certified, something just ten office buildings in Europe have achieved. The project, developed by PSJ Invest and used by Kooperativa, achieved the certification because of its low energy consumption and its environmentally friendly operation. The building uses water from the nearby Vltava river for cooling and has a unique system of shading on its façade. Main Point Karlin, designed by architects from the studio DaM, was awarded 87 points of a total of 110 by the US Green Building Council, which places it among the top office projects in Europe. “For us it’s proof that with enough courage and luck we do not need just to follow modern trends, we can set them,” said Martin Jaroš, CEO of PSJ.
