Major tourism schemes planned for Montenegro

24 January 2018

In 2018, around €354m will be invested in Montenegro’s three biggest tourism projects. Azmont Investments has the most ambitious agenda, as it plans to invest €290m into Portonovi, its scheme in Kumbor involving the construction of a new resort and marina. Construction on the scheme began in 2012.
The company Lustica Development will invest €50m into its project Lustica Bay during 2018. This involves the construction of a luxury, 111-room hotel, which will open on the Lustica peninsula and the opening of a marina with 176 berths. A residential and business complex is being built next to the marina. The total investment for Lustica Bay will eventually reach €1.1 billion.
The other significant tourism project is Porto Montenegro, an ongoing scheme that’s already seen €450m of investment. There, another €14m will be invested this year to create a Regent Pool Club Residence.
