Beating out Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic, Poland secured a PLN 390m contract with the global automotive giant Mando. The Korean automotive producer plans to open a new production line of dampers and clamps for disc brakes for Hyundai, Kia and some of selected brand of General Motors. The investment will add 450 jobs to the city of Wałbrzych over the next 12 months. Set to go up in Wałbrzych’s Invest Park, the project is reportedly the biggest investment for the region and includes distribution and warehouse components, as well as social space. Backed by Poland’s Agency for Information and Foreign Investment, the investor has also agreed to provide new infrastructure to the surround area.
