Many hotels across Poland will be closing in the coming weeks for safety reasons amid the Covid-19 pandemic, according to a Walter Herz report. In the meantime, owners of short-term rental apartments, restaurants and other food establishments were forced to close by the government. The key to minimizing losses in the coming weeks and months will depend heavily on each hotel’s management structure, according to Andrzej Szymczyk, associate director of the hospitality department at Walter Herz, taking into account the property’s profitability of services and cash flow and whether money had been set aside for renovations and investment.
