According to the March 2016 data from the Naples Area Board of Realtors, existing single-family home and condo sales in Naples were down compared with the same month in 2015. Sales of existing, single-family homes were down 15 percent to 391, while the 403 existing condos that changed hands represented a 33 percent fall from March 2015. On the positive side, the median price of an existing single-family home in the Naples area rose 5 percent to $400,000 while the median price of an existing condo was up 3 percent to $258,000.
“With the increase in inventory, the buyer has more properties to choose from this year,” says Mike Hughes, vice president and general manager of Downing-Frye Realty, in the statement from the association. “I also think that the sellers might be more flexible this year with their price. It is definitely a good year to be a buyer.”
