Marcin Adamczyk has been appointed vice president of Vinci from BGK Group

Marcin Adamczyk has been appointed vice president of Vinci of the BGK Group, the company said. The new vice president will be co-responsible, among other things, for the development and investments related to the operation of the Da Gama ASI fund, one of the three entities that are part of the BGK subsidiary, in addition to IQ ASI and HiTech ASI.

“The strengthening of the team by Vice President Adamczyk is in line with the company’s development vision. We are convinced that Vinci S.A.’s implementation of projects in the area of venture capital and private equity, with the support of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego’s capital, will contribute to strengthening the Polish ecosystem of innovative enterprises and will fit into the BGK Group’s strategy of activities supporting the sustainable development of the Polish economy. We welcome Marcin to the team and wish him every success in our company,” said Vinci CEO Piotr Wolinski.

The new vice president’s tasks include finding the best startups and successful companies planning to expand abroad, and then effectively supporting them with more than one billion zlotys, which the Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego subsidiary and its three funds want to invest in the development of Polish innovations, the company announced.

The company indicated that Da Gama supports Polish companies looking to succeed abroad, with a budget of 450 million zlotys. At one time, companies applying for support can obtain up to PLN 90 million, and the investment period is from 3 to 10 years. The entire fund has more than a billion zlotys to invest in both early-stage companies and those looking to scale business abroad.

Marcin Adamczyk is a manager with 25 years of international experience. As of October 16, he started a new chapter in his career as Vice President of Vinci, and from 2020 to 2023 he served as Global Head of Emerging Markets Debt at Goldman Sachs Asset Management in The Hague. He was chairman of the board of directors of TFI PZU and then advisor to the Group’s CEO. In the past, he worked at Nomura International Group in London, Lombard Odier Investment Managers in Amsterdam and Geneva, and the leading Dutch pension fund MN, among others. He is also a founding member of the Sustainable Investment Forum Poland (POLSIF).
