Becken, a specialist in project development, revitalization, asset and investment management for commercial and residential properties, is significantly expanding its business areas in asset and property management as well as ESG refurbishment.
To achieve this aim, the management board of Becken Holding will be expanded as of January 1, 2024, appointing Markus Reinert FRICS (age: 58) joining as COO of Becken Holding. The experienced real estate expert joins from IC Immobilien Gruppe, where he was the speaker of the management board. Markus will form the interface between development and asset and property management at the level of Becken Holding. His core tasks include, among others, the organic and inorganic growth of new asset and property management mandates and coordinating these business activities of INDUSTRIA with the manage-to-ESG activities of Becken. The asset and property management activities in the residential sector are currently being operated at INDUSTRIA in Frankfurt. They are overseen by INDUSTRIA managing director Jürgen Hau, who is responsible approx. 60 employees in this area.
The corporate group aims, among other things, to acquire new external clients for its asset and property management services. These mandates are expected to come from both the residential and increasingly from the commercial sector. INDUSTRIA already manages external mandates, such as the management of residential portfolios for clients such as Wealthcap.
Jörn Stobbe, CEO of Becken Holding GmbH, says: “We see great potential in combining asset and property management with manage-to-ESG strategies and their implementation.”
Markus Reinert, COO of Becken Holding GmbH, says: “I am looking forward to my new activities within the Becken Group.”
Before joining Becken, Markus Reinert worked for more than eight years as the speaker of the management board of IC Immobilien Gruppe. Prior to that, he spent over four years as Head of Property and Asset Management and Investor Services for Cushman & Wakefield LLP, responsible for the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, and Africa). Before that, he worked for more than 20 years at Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in various functions and positions, including seven years as Managing and International Director and member of the German management board.
Jürgen Hau, Managing Director of INDUSTRIA and responsible for the property management division, comments: “INDUSTRIA was founded about 70 years ago as an administration company. So, property management is essentially in our DNA. I am looking forward to developing our portfolio together with Markus Reinert. The external mandates are already with the newly revised strategy. Especially in times of crisis, the focus is increasingly on existing assets and their management or development towards ESG requirements. I see great synergies with our shareholder, the Becken Group. We aim to make INDUSTRIA a significant player in asset and property management in Germany.”
