Marriott International chooses PR rep for Caribbean and Latin America

Marriott International has tapped Diamond Public Relations to represent the company’s Caribbean and Latin America portfolio. The Miami-based firm will manage North American public relations efforts for Marriott International’s ten brands throughout the Caribbean and Latin America, with a main objective of increasing awareness and encouraging travel to Marriott hotels and resorts within the region. Marriott International’s presence in the region is represented by 115 hotels in 26 countries and territories, offering 26,141 rooms and spanning ten lodging brands. Marriott International (including The Ritz-Carlton) has more than 66 hotels under development in the region and expects to have more than 150 hotels by 2017 across ten lodging brands in 26 countries and territories. “Diamond Public Relations’ very first client was actually a Marriott in the Caribbean – so both the brand and the CALA region hold a special place with us,” said Kara Rosner, vice president of Diamond Public Relations.
