Marriott International has set a goal is to open up to five new hotels in Croatia by 2020. Croatian islands are not being targeted, say company officials, because they lack airport access. “In Croatia there is potential for opening resort hotels in a number of cities and along the coast.” said Ivica Cacic, regional vice president of development for Marriott East Europe.
Marriott International operates the Kupari tourist complex, located on the coast of Croatia, in collaboration with the Russian Avenue Group.
