Marubeni lobbies Croatia for Plomin C power plant contract

Japanese Marubeni Corporation is interested in investing in a new power plant in Plomin, Croatia.
Hiroshi Tachagami, of the Marubeni Corp said “The Croatian power provider HEP would partly contribute to the investment, while the other investors are from Japan, France and other European countries.”

The Plomin C power plant, valued at €1bn, will be constructed as an environment friendly plant. HEP and the Croatian government will decide whether to build Plomin C power plant after experts will evaluate the project and give a final report. Hiroshi Tachigami has assured the government his company has the necessary finances for the plant’s construction.
