Massive testing of the nation will be provided in part by the company. According to the Minister of Trade and Industry Karel Havlíček, ten thousand companies will test up to 2.5 million people. Companies can use self-testing or arrange for antigen tests to be performed by a healthcare professional. However, they are afraid of rejection by employees, because they cannot force them to pass the test. If the tests are not performed, Havlíček risks fines.
The Ministry of Health promises to expand the list of permitted tests every day on the basis of requests for exemptions. In addition, the Ministry of Industry and Trade claims that approved suppliers for self-testing have about five million tests in stock and another five to eight million should be available this week.
Companies with more than 250 employees must start testing today, Wednesday first. By March 12, these companies must test all people so that an employee who has not been tested in the last week does not enter the workplace after that date. An exception is those who have had covid-19 in the last three months. They are considered immune.
