Master plan for Trnávka approved after 7 years

18 February 2015

The daily SME reports that after seven years, the Ružinov district of Bratislava has approved a master plan for the Trnávka neighborhood. Ružinov’s mayor Dušan Pekár told the paper the achievement would benefit local residents. “The idea was to give people living in Trnávka a guarantee that there will still be green space there in the future. So investors will get clear rules that their playgrounds can’t become apartment buildings one day.” The plan lays down the law on where green areas must remain, while indicating where bike routes can be built and how some prominent intersections will look in the future. It’s the second such master plan for a Ružinov neighborhood, with Krajná-Bočná having preceded it.
