mBank has signed a cooperation agreement with Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) for a 2% safe loan as the 11th institution in Poland, according to a list of banks participating in the programme published by BGK.
The list of banks that have signed agreements with BGK on cooperation in the area of safe 2% credit: making subsidies and providing guarantees for own contribution currently includes Alior Bank, Bank BPS and the Cooperative Banks of the BPS Association, Bank Ochrony Środowiska, Bank Pekao, Bank Spółdzielczy Rzemiosła in Kraków, Bank Spółdzielczy in Brodnica, Krakowski Bank Spółdzielczy in Kraków, mBank, PKO BP, SGB-Bank and Velo Bank.
The ‘2% safe credit’ programme for those wishing to buy their first home will start from 1 July. It includes, among other things, subsidies for housing loan instalments (the difference between a fixed rate based on the average interest rate for fixed-rate loans in the lending banks and the loan rate according to the 2% rate). The subsidies are to apply for 10 years.
BGK, as operator of the Programme, will be responsible, among other things, for the disbursement of funds in the 2% Safe Loan are credit subsidies and in the Housing Account for housing bonuses.
