GDC Properties has tapped Tampa-based McKibbon Hospitality to manage Aloft Orlando Downtown hotel. The converted eight story property at 500 S Orange Ave. was once the headquarters for the Orlando Utilities Commission. Designed by Baker Barrios Architects, the hotel features 118 rooms and 7,000 sqf of meeting and event space. The property marks the fourth Aloft hotel that flag the firm will manage as it joins the Aloft Greenville Downtown, Aloft Asheville Downtown, and Aloft Tallahassee Downtown. With this new assignment, McKibbon Hospitality’s management portfolio includes 87 hotels and nearly 10,000 rooms.
William Ingraham, president of GDC Properties, said “McKibbon has a proven track record in managing properties within the Aloft Hotel brand and continues to implement very unique programs for hotel guests and locals that set their Aloft Hotels apart.”
