Media Capital, owner of TVI, sold the studios of Plural Entertainment in Vialonga, in the municipality of Vila Franca de Xira. With the real estate market showing signs of recovery, the company has decided to reduce its holdings, however, it has not revealed the agreed price of the sale. In recent years, the building’s studios have been leased out to other companies. Numerous films central to the country’s cinematic history were recorded there. “It was there that Portuguese fiction began,” says the actor Nicolau Breyner, who says nonetheless that it’s “natural that the Media Capital has sold”.
