The dairy factory Meggle Hrvatska announced that it will shut down production in Osijek by the end of the year, and about 160 workers will be fired. The decision to restructure operations in Croatia and shut down production in Osijek by the end of the year was made due to long-standing business challenges and a series of crises that had a negative impact on business. Meggle Group said it was carrying out an optimization of its entire business, with the aim of setting long-term sustainable business models in all markets.
In accordance with the decision to shut down production, Meggle will terminate its cooperation with its subcontractors and suppliers of raw materials in Croatia and announces that it will fulfill all its contractual obligations to them in a timely manner.
