Melia Hotels International is planning to open a new hotel in the Sunny Beach resort along Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast next year. The Melia Sunny Beach complex will be the Spanish hospitality group’s seventh property in Bulgaria. It will offer a total of 987 rooms in three buildings, two of which will be renovations of existing buildings, while the third will be a new build. The company already operates 2,400 rooms along Bulgaria’s coastal region. Four Melia hotels are located in Nessebar, while Obzor and Varna have one each.
