A Mercedes factory was due to be inaugurated today in the city of Kecskemét, four years after the German automobile manufacturer announced it would be investing in the country. In fact, a soft launch of the factory has already been carried out, as more than 100 Mercedes B cars were produced in January and have passed inspection by Daimler engineers. Two of the four new models Mercedes is producing will come out of the Hungarian plant.
