Global real estate investment management firm, Heitman, has rehired Caleb Mercer as Managing Director of its European Private Equity Group. Reporting to Tony Smedley, Heitman’s Head of European Private Equity, Mercer will originate, structure, complete, and manage the firm’s investments throughout Europe. Mercer formerly served as a Senior Vice President, European Acquisitions at Starwood Capital and started his career as an Analyst with Merrill Lynch.
Mercer was previously with the firm from 2012 to 2015. Smedley said that “Ensuring we have the appropriate balance of skills, experience and talent is fundamental to the broadening of our European Private Equity business. Recruiting Caleb is an essential first step in this process.”
