The final girder has been placed atop Miami’s new landmark Met 3 Tower, the third component of the $1 billion mixed-use Metropolitan Miami project. Located in downtown Miami, the tower is to include 462 rental apartments due for completion in thefirst quarter of 2016. Also included in Met 3 is a recently-opened 41,000-square-foot Whole Foods Market, the only supermarket in the city’s urban core, and an 1,800-car parking garage.
The Met already includes Met 1, 50-story luxury residential tower, a 47-story Class “A” office tower, a 41-story JW Marriott Marquis Miami and finally the Hotel Beaux Arts Miami. The final phase of The Met will include retail and entertainment components, such as an upscale movie theater, restaurants, shopping and additional residences.
