Construction has started on the Met at Metro Centre, a seven-story, 114-unit apartment building on the northwestern outskirts of Baltimore. The project is part of Metro Centre at Owings Mills, a mixed-use transit oriented development that will feature more than 1.2 million sq ft of class A office space, 200,000 sq ft of retail, 1,700 residential units, a 225-key full-service hotel and 120,000 sq ft of educational facilities. A Baltimore County library branch and the Community College of Baltimore County have already opened buildings there. Common amenities will include a outdoor pool, dining and grilling areas along with a multi-story parking garage. Slated for completion in 2019, the project is being developed by Owings Mills Transit.
