Nearly 21,000 sq.m. is occupied by shops, restaurants and service outlets whose owners have decided to start or continue their presence in the M1 shopping centres in the past year. These are well-known international and local brands of almost all product categories. METRO PROPERTIES started 2024 with an occupancy rate of 99.3 per cent.

Across the M1 chain, 18 new leases were concluded. These include Maxi Zoo, which in Bytom and Zabrze took up a total area of 754 sq.m., Pepco in Czeladź invites customers to a shop of 589 sq.m., Hebe in Zabrze has 278 sq.m., Piekarnia Gruzińska in Kraków, which is making its debut in the M1 chain, took up 218 sq.m., while Vistula & Wólczanka in Łódź and Poznań present an offer on a total area of approx. 300 sq.m.
As many as 107 leases were extended in 2023. The largest space for the next period was contracted by the Rossmann drugstore in seven cities, the Dr Zdrowie pharmacy in five M1 centres, as well as the EBS Laundries, as well as the Big Star clothing shop in four cities, the Deichman shoe shop
in three locations, electronics and white goods market Media Markt, Jysk from the DIY category and Cafe Chopin and HaLong restaurants.
Further locations were chosen by the Maxi Zoo, Douglas, Hebe, Unisono and W.Kruk brands.
There was also no shortage of debuts in 2023. These include the aforementioned Piekarnia Gruzińska in M1 Kraków, Fabryka Dobrych Materacy in M1 Czeladź and the Italian ice cream parlour Fresh Gelato, which made its debut in M1 Zabrze.
METRO PROPERTIES has also renewed 10,000 passenger contracts for the entire portfolio of nine M1 shopping centres in Poland.
M1 is a chain of nine shopping centres located in central and southern Poland and managed by METRO PROPERTIES. It comprises 450,000 m² of retail space, where 650 tenants from almost all sectors operate their shops and service outlets.
