The Metropolitan office building sold for €190m, according to local news reports. Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management closed the deal earlier this week, pushing the value of its Polish portfolio to more than €1bn. The transaction makes the German company one of the biggest real estate investors in the country, following its acquisition of the Rondo 1 office project earlier this year. Gianluca Muzzi, the real estate director for European business at Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management, said the company is currently looking for for new acquisitions in Poland.
The previous owner of the Metropolitan office building, Aberdeen Asset Management Deutschland, acquired the Warsaw property in 2006 for €169m. Completed in 2003, the office building offers 38,000 sqm of office and retail space.
