Five consortiums have been shortlisted in a tender to build a new University Hospital in Bratislava. The order, worth €6.3bn, is a PPP project launched by the Slovak Health Ministry. The winner will manage the hospital for 30 years. The Slovak construction company DÚHA, owned by Miroslav Remeta, the Czech company Agel, controlled by Tomáš Chrenek, and Metrostav, another Czech construction company, are among the names on the list. The Spanish holding Ribera Salud Grupo, Interhealth Canada Limited, Italy’s Pessina Construzioni and Rizzani de Eccher are also vying for the contract.
