Following the collapse of the Trinity project, Metrostav is now planning a residential scheme for the Bratislava plot. Metrostav was in the process of building a five-story parking garage on the site when the structure caved in two years ago.
Metrostav spokesman František Polák points out that Metrostav was the Trinity project’s general contractor, not the developer. The structural engineer was sued for the collapse. The developer of the project, Nadlan, eventually went bankrupt, and Metrostav bought the project from the bankruptcy manager. The value of the completed buildings in the Trinity project decreased significantly after the parking garage collapsed.
