Mystery surrounds the construction of a technology park in Milovice that’s supposed to be built on a former Soviet military base. Work began on a building for the park last March, but ceased without explanatio. “No work has gone on there for several months,” Milovice’s mayor Milan Pour. “I became mayor in November and it stopped around that time. The investor is a non-profit organization named VTP AT Miolovice, which was promised CZK 400m for the project, CZK 18m of which has been drawn down. If the company fails to complete the project on time, it would be forced to return all funds.
