On its first day at MIPIM, Ghelamco secured BREEAM Excellent certification for Warsaw Spire, its flagship project in Poland. The companyās CEE managing director, Jeroen Van der Toolen, said this is the developerās eighth BREEAM certificate on the Polish market.
āWe were the first developer in Poland to get BREEAM certification and also the first developer last year to get BREEAM office certification,ā said Van der Toolen.
Along with its Warsaw Spire project, Ghelamco is said to have currently more than 21,000 sqm of office space and 11,000 sqm of retail space under construction across Warsaw. At the same time, the developer may potentially partner with Polish State Railways (PKP) on its Dworzec GdaÅski project in Warsaw. Worth about PLN 1.2bn, the investment is reportedly the biggest public-private investment for PKP to date.
