HB Reavis, one of the most active developers in the CEE region, plans to enter the Turkish market. The news, announced this week at MIPIM, follows the Slovak developer’s acquisition of the London Bridge, its first UK investment, a couple of months ago. Marcel Sedlak, who’s responsible for the developer’s Polish, Slovak and Turkish operations, says the number of new opportunities on the Turkish market, particularly in the office sector, is rapidly growing. HB Reavis has already established a local team in Istanbul, according to Sedlak and expects to close its first acquisition soon. “We believe in the fundamentals of the city,” says Sedlak, adding that the company will continue its expansion on the UK market. “The rationale is that London is an attractive market that is extremely robust and deep,” he says.
