Istrian Hotels, part of the Serbian-based MK Group, has acquired a luxury hotel complex in Istria, Croatia, for an undisclosed price. The company signed the sales contract with HETA (formerly Hypo Alpe Adria International) therefor becoming the 100 percent owner of all companies in Skiper Group. Istrian Hotels made the best offer in the tender organized to sell off the property for Skiper Resort and the transactions surrounding the deal will be completed in the coming weeks. Based along the Croatian coast, the company has luxury hotels, mansions and apartments in Savudrija, Istria. Skiper Resort runs the Kempinski residence with 22 luxury mansions, a private beach, spa center, and an 18-hole golf course. Miodrag Kostic, the owner of MK Group, bought hotel Kempinski in Portoroz, Slovenia in 2015. Istrian Hotels owns seven 4-star and 5-star hotels, while MK Group cooperates with the Sheraton hotel brand in Serbia.
