MK Group has become the owner of the Slovenian branch of Heta Asset Resolution, an Austrian-based company after the deal was approved by regulatory bodies of the two countries. MK Group was chosen as the preferred bidder at a tender held at the end of 2019. Another bidder, Kostic, offered between €220m and €230m, while other potential bidders included Norwegian B2, Swedish DDM and the Czech-based APS. Slovenian Heta owns 54,000 sqm of land in Ljubljana, the Metalka office building on the Ajdovščina platform in Ljubljana and 37,350 sqm of land in in Izola, where the construction of hotels, wellness centers, and residential buildings are planned.
