MOL building €1.2bn plant in northeastern Hungary

MOL laid the cornerstone for its new plant in Tiszaujvaros, northeastern Hungary. The Hungarian oil and gas company will invest €1.2bn in the project, its largest domestic investment project to date. The government is supporting the development with €131m, Finance Minister Mihaly Varga said at the groundbreaking ceremony. The plant will produce petrochemicals used in packaging for the automotive and construction industries. Completion is planned for 2021. MOL intends to employ 200 people at the plant.
