Moldova IT-Park employed more than 6,600 people during its first year of operation and reported a sales revenue of nearly €102.6m in 2018. The park is expected to operate for a period of 10 years, over which time the Moldovan government hopes to attract 500 local and foreign IT companies that will help create new jobs and drive growth in the IT sector. “For the Republic of Moldova, the IT sector has a great potential. Being a small country, we must not only produce a new workforce but also prepare specialists for high value-added industries,” said Moldovan Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
