Mondi Group is planning to invest €600m in the construction of a new Bulgarian plant, according to the Ministry of Economy. The Austrian packaging and paper group is also considering expanding its plant in Stambolijski, southern Bulgaria, where it produces sack kraft paper. No other details about the potential investments were released. Mondi operates two production plants in Serbia. The company employs about 26,000 people in more than 30 countries worldwide. Its main markets are Russia, South Africa, Central Europe and North America.
