Mondi, the British paper and packaging company, is planning to develop its logistic facility in the Hungarian town of Békéscsaba. The cost of the investment is HUF 13bn, HUF 1.8bn of which will be supplied by a grant from the Hungarian government. When completed, the investment will create 220 new jobs and add to the company’s existing capacity. Mondi Békéscsaba had net revenues of HUF 13.21bn in 2015, with HUF 814m in after-tax profits. The company is active at four locations in Hungary: Békéscsaba, Nyíregyháza, Kecskemét and Szada.
