Monument Realty has received approval from the Montgomery County Council for its Montgomery Village Master Plan, clearing the way for the redevelopment of the Montgomery Village Golf Club. The project, also referred to as “Bloom Montgomery Village,” calls for roughly 400 single family homes, townhomes and duplexes as well as a 40-acre public park and an additional 30+ acres set aside for use as trails, playgrounds, dog parks and community gardens. Monument expects to finalize the planning and engineering of the project over the next 18 months with initial construction possibly starting by late 2017.
