The Moravian-Silesian Region is, aside from the three largest Czech cities of Prague, Brno and Ostrava, the only Czech region to launch its own exhibition stand at the upcoming MIPIM (Cannes, March 12-15). It intends to offer numerous development areas to investors. The major projects can be exemplified by Nad Barborou Industrial Zone, Krnov-Červený Dvůr Industrial Zone, development areas in the City of Frýdek-Místek (two areas of former barracks – Frýdecký Forrest and Palkovická – and the unused properties of the Slezan Frýdek-Místek company, which has ceased production) as well as a unique architectural and development project for the Lower Part of Vítkovice, which brings investment of tens of billions of Czech Crowns to the region and its metropolis, the city of Ostrava. Numerous development areas will be presented by the City of Havířov, a co-exhibitor of the Moravian-Silesian region.
