Morawiecki and Kaczyński go to Kiev to meet Zełeński

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński and Prime Ministers of the Czech Republic and Slovakia: Peter Fiala and Janez Jansa go to Kiev as representatives of the European Council for a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Szmyhal, said Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

“Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Committee for National Security and Defense Affairs Jarosław Kaczyński together with Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala and Prime Minister of Slovenia Janez Janša are going to Kiev today as representatives of the European Council for a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, according to an announcement.

The trip is organized in agreement with the President of the European Council Charles Michel and the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen. The purpose of the visit is to confirm the unequivocal support of the entire European Union for the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine and to present a broad package of support for the Ukrainian state and society.

The international community is informed about the delegation visit through international organizations, including the United Nations.

As the head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Michał Dworczyk, informed during the briefing, the directional decisions were made at the meeting of the European Council in Versailles, and the preparations were carried out in consultation with European politicians.
