Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki held a conference call with European Council President Charles Michel about the actions the EU needs to take in order to ensure an effective response to the economic fallout of Covid-19. Poland believes that Europe needs a new marshall plan, Morawiecki said, that takes into account the different needs of each member state. The prime minister also presented Polish expectations concerning the EU’s long-term budget for 2021-27. During the discussion, the politicians also addressed, among other things, issues related to health security, coordinating the EU’s external actions and the grand recovery plan for the community.
