The city of Bratislava will be demanding that the construction companies working on the D4 and R7 motorways provide up-to-date information for the city and its residents on the work. “Bratislava will create a new section on its web page for the purpose of increasing the level of information about road work,” said the city’s spokeswoman Zuzan Onufer. It’s estimated that more than 100,000 people travel into the city for work on a daily basis. In order to reduce the impact of investments into the motorways, the city will be increasing public transportation links. Construction will soon begin on a new interchange along the D1 at Prievoz from Bajkalská and Slovnaftská streets. It’s expected to take until 2020 to complete.
