More UK property millionaires than ever

28 August 2014

The number of property millionaires in the UK has jumped 50 percent to over 484,000 over the past year according to the Zoopla Property Rich List 2014. It claims that property values rose 12.9 percent on the 10 most expensive streets in the UK, most of which are in London. Homes along Kensington Palace Gardens are worth GBP 42.7m, which is 162 times more than the value of the average GBP 263,705. But the number of streets with average values exceeding GBP 1m rose nearly 30 percent to 10,613. It remains to be seen if these figures hold up in 2015 as there’s growing concern that the market has peaked.
