Motorway project tenders delayed

The tender for the Comarnic-Brasov highway extension project has been extended to Feb. 27, the National Company of Motorways and National Roads announced. The estimated value of this contract is RON 5.3bn. The project will extend the Comarnic-Brasov highway to 58 km. The government wants to finish this project within 10 years.

Meanwhile, the tenders for the Bucharest Ring Highway South, A1 Bucharest-Pitesti and A2 Bucharest-Constanta motorway projects have also been extended to Feb. 28. The Bucharest Ring Highway South will be extended to 48 km in a contract worth RON 9bn. This contract will also include the maintenance of the A1 and A2 motorways for next 30 years.
