MRP Realty buys into Dulles technology corridor with $97m acquisition

A 532,041 square-foot, eight-building office campus in the Dulles technology corridor has been picked up by MRP Realty for $97 million. The Liberty Park portfolio includes five single-story buildings located at 13605-13645 Dulles Technology Drive. The additional properties are located on Dulles Technology Drive (two building), with the final office building found on Sunrise Valley Drive. The entire portfolio is a short walk from the future Silver Line Innovation Metro Station, which is slated for completion in 2020. MRP will launch a value-add repositioning and leasing program for the Liberty Park portfolio. The company plans to add a community tenant lounge, conference facility and a fitness center to the campus.

“Companies that are seeking to relocate or expand their operations have found increasing value in the Dulles corridor and the Liberty Park portfolio is an opportunity for MRP to reposition these buildings to reflect the shifting dynamics of today’s workforce,” said Cris White of MRP Realty. “In addition, the location of the Silver Line and forthcoming Metro stations will give yet another option for commuters to these properties in the near future.”
