MTS, Swietelsky and Doprastav won an order to build a section of the D3 motorway, stretching from Bošilec to Ševětín. The consortium beat out 11 other bidders in a tender organized by the Czech Road and Motorway Directorate (ŘSD). The contract is for CZK 1.2bn.
The planned motorway section should follow the existing I/3 road route. The planning permit was issued in May 2011, with an estimated cost of CZK 2.79bn. The D3 motorway will connect Prague with Tábor and České Budějovice and continue to the Austrian border.
