MTU Aero Engines is planning to open a repair center for airplane motors near Belgrade. The German company, which specializes in the maintenance of Airbus A320’s V2500 engine, intends to buy the development land this summer. The cost of the investment has not been disclosed, but the company recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Serbian Economy Minister Goran Knezevic. MTU Aero Engines is headquartered in Munich. It operates in 15 countries worldwide and employs 10,000 people. The company’s annual revenue is €4.6bn.
