The Mullan Contracting Company has won a tender to build a new 41,600 sqf Circuit Courthouse for Queen Anne’s County, located on Commerce Street in Centreville, Maryland. The existing courthouse was completed in 1796 and is considered the oldest courthouse still in use in the State of Maryland. The new two-story project was designed with a front exterior façade that resembles the previous building, and features a glass oculus window with the outline of an eagle. Completion is anticipated for next year. Mullan Contracting also constructed a 24,000 sqf office building for Queen Anne’s County that currently houses the County’s Department of Planning and Zoning, Office of the State’s Attorney and County’s Board of Elections. “Our team is extremely familiar with the Queen Anne’s County area, and we look forward to the successful delivery of another public facility that best serves the needs of its residents,” explained Joseph Rode, President of The Mullan Contracting Company.
