The Národní třída metro station has reopened in the Prague city center after undergoing a thorough two-year facelift. The B-line station was closed in the summer 2012 when CPI started construction of Quadrio, a mixed-use complex on top of the station at the corner of Národní and Spálená streets. The project, which will include office, retail and residential components, is scheduled for completion this fall. The retail portion of the complex will be directly accessible from the metro vestibule.
The City of Prague invested CZK 671m into the reconstruction of the metro station, which was originally built in 1985. Materials and technologies from the 1980s were replaced and the station’s design was modernized.
