The Croatian-based pasta producer Nase Klasje has opened new plant west of Zagreb. The company invested €5m in its 3,000 sqm plant in Zapresic thanks in part to €2m in co-financing from the European Regional Development fund. At the plant’s opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Davor Bozinovic said it was his government’s priority to create conditions that would allow the company to prosper and to expand production. “It’s the only way we can move forward, create new values and connect innovation, knowledge and tradition,” he said. Nase Klasje owner and director Zoran Simunic said the company planned to boost exports to over 50 percnet of output. It currently employs 40 people, having been set up in 2000.
