The Slovak national motorway authority (NDS) says it needs an additional €510.5m in state funding to finance a number of motorway construction projects. The projects include the construction of nine sections of the R2, R4 and D1 motorways, totaling 90 km and €1.478bn in construction costs. NDS hopes it will be able to break ground on these projects by 2019. NDS needs to secure an additional €38.85m this year, €176.17m in 2018 and €295.5m in 2019 from the state budget.
