The number of companies in Romania entering insolvency fell by 7.17 percent in the first eight months of 2023 compared to the same period last year, with 3,975 insolvencies recorded, according to data published on the website of the National Trade Registry Office.
The highest number of companies that entered insolvency were registered in Bucharest, namely 732, an increase of 2.38 percent compared to the period January-August 20 The counties of Bihor, Cluj, Timiș and Constanța are in the next places. The fewest insolvencies were recorded in Botoșani, Harghita and Covasna counties.
