Nearly 800,000 sqm of warehouse added to Poland

Almost 800,000 sqm of modern warehouse and industrial space was developed in Poland between January and June, up 17 percent y-o-y, according to the latest Savills report. The largest projects completed in the six-month period include a 47,500 sqm expansion of the GIC-owned P3 Błonie in Warsaw, a 45,700 sqm BTS for Kaufland in Bydgoszcz by Panattoni and a 42,200 sqm expansion of Prologis Park Piotrków II in central Poland. This year’s new supply is expected to exceed the 1.2 million sqm added to the market in 2016, according to Savills. More than 1.6 million sqm of space is currently under construction, including three BTS warehouses with areas exceeding 100,000 sqm. Panattoni is building two warehouses for Amazon: a 161,000 sqm shed in Szczecin and a 135,000 sqm space in Sosnowiec. Goodman is developing a 130,000 sqm warehouse in Szczecin for Zalando.
